Remove Rear Bumper???
 

I am in the process of installing my exhaust. There are 4 bolts on top of the muffler I cannot get access to with the bumper in the way.

I tried removing the rear bumper. I spent 3 hours and I lost a few screws and sheared others. But I could not remove the bumper.

There are 3 screws under the rear spoiler that need to be removed. I tried removing the rear spoiler but it would not come out even after I used the allen wrench to remove all spoiler related screws and bolts.

Anyone know of a way to remove the spoiler and rear bumper?

Did this just this past winter.

To remove rear bumper:

Raise spoiler and drive out 3 plastic rivet pins in body coloured spoiler cover and then gently pry out the rivets. Tilt off and remove spoiler cover.

A 5mm Allen key removes the 2 bolts holding on the spoiler body.

Remove the 3 Phillips screws on the bumper cover you have uncovered by removing the spoiler.

Remove one Phillips screw in each wheel well, this is up high where the bumper cover meets the body metal.

Remove 6 Phillips screws along bottom edge of bumper cover.

Use a 6mm Allen key to remove the bolt holding each bumperette.

Carefully, with an assistant, pull away the bumper cover, and unplug license plate wiring harness.

You might find it helpful to put the car on stands, I know I did...

I already did everything you mentioned here except remove the plastic cover for the rear spoiler by getting those rivets out. I will try that tomorrow.

7 hours later and I get this far.

I never got the bumper off. So I just removed bent the bumper upwards and worked from there.

Unfortunately, Top Speed Pro 1 exhaust systems are cheap for a reason. The U-Pipe Diameter is roughly the same as the diameter of the Top Speed Muffler Pipe so they don't fit. The U-Pipe is supposed to insert into the Muffler Pipe.

I have to take it to a muffler shop to see if they can increase the diameter of the TS Exhaust so I can finish the install.
