Half the LEDs out in aftermarket 3rd brake light
 

Anyone have an issue with those aftermarket LED 3rd brakelights? One half of mine has gone out. I don't think the LEDs are burned out, must be some failed electrical connection. I'm wondering if it's worth cutting apart to troubleshoot or if it's even repairable.

Sound like you have nothing to loose and it does sound like you may have a bad connection. Easy enough to check if you have a voltmeter.

From the first moment I installed a smoked led 3rd light they didn't work properly. The tech at my p dealer switched the polarity on the connector and all was fixed. He said he had seen this many times. Worked perfectly now for 6 months.
