Blue tooth microphone

I just purchased an aftermarket Kenwood stereo with Blue Tooth that has an external wired microphone. Any suggestions on a good place to mount the mic?

Garage
On my 2003, there was a factory mic just behind a round grill to the left of the instrument cluster. The installer cut out the old mic because it was built into the plastic and glued in the new one. It looks totally factory. It was a little difficult to fish the wires but not impossible.

Good luck!

I recently installed one in a different P-Car and asked the same question from those who have BT Mics. I originally was going to go with an upper / center windshield mount since it would be relatively inconspicuous, many said wind noise was an issue at 60 plus mph. I ended up mounting it on the top of the steering column, works great and I got used to the appearance and location.

The best location that I found and works best for me is on the outside of the center console all the way up. So basically where your right knee is

+1 on mounting on top of the steering column. Sound is clear and the exposed wiring is minimal that way.
