OK Ok it's time to say a bit more about me I guess. I'm a 52 year old man with a constant passion for cars. My first car was a Fiat X-19, this was in 1978 when I was just 18.
Then I started buying other cars, such as Honda's, Toyota's, Mercedes and what have you, but to be an owner of a Porsche was always the ultimate dream. Today I have a Boxster S, a Ssangyong Kyron SUV to carry my dogs, and also a Peugeot 307 Hdi. And by the way, I am in Malta not Australia. For those who do not know, I live in a small island 60 miles south of Sicily.
Take care

Did your hands thank you when you sold it? Working on those was a PIA always ended in cuts, did it have the twin tiny bumpers or the five mile performance killers? My X-19 was the only father / son build of my life. It had an Isky cam ground to my father's specs, a shaved head and a carburetor from a 131 (I think it was a 131) anyhow we built it to punish and you could blow right through the tach redline and keep going, it was a blast at the time and just enough faster to give the otherwise pathetic X-19 a little kick. The body of course disintegrated.

It was with the two small black bumpers, and yes I remember squeezing every rev out of it. First time I got it home, my father said to me "all that money and no headlights" and you could see my grin after that statement to demonstrate the lights coming up out of the bonnet!! Those were the days!!
