Heated seats/Homelink/Headlight washers; Solved!

When I got my '05 S, the battery was shot, and I had to replace it. The heated seats, homelink and headlight washers did not work. Fuses were good. I saw somewhere that the computer needed to know that those items were part of the package, so I brought in in to my local tech.

He hooked up to the diagnostics, and it read out that the options were all installed and activated. He uninstalled them, and re-installed them, and still they did not work.

He was puzzled, and finally he tried setting up the car as if it were new. That finally did the trick. If anyone else is having trouble, hope this helps.

40 degrees this am, heated seats felt great on the way to work!

I'm having the same situation right now.

In my case, the local Porsche dealership. I paid them to give the car a check when I first bought it, and he did this follow-up for free. Nice!
