Remote Control on Key

Hey Guys,

This might be a stupid question, did all boxsters have a remote control feature to unlock/lock the doors? They guy I bought the car from had only the regular key (no buttons) with the porsche emblem in the back. Could I go to the porsche dealer and order a key with the remote control if all porsche boxsters had the remote control feature. Thanks for your help

No, the remote locking/alarm was an option that was selected on most cars, but not all Boxsters came with this feature.

There is a thread on rennlist's 993 forum about an aftermarket option, but I don't know if it's compatible with Boxsters.
