base model with white guages?

hello, did a search and didnt find any info. ive been shopping around and looking at alot of boxsters to find the one right for me. I came across a very nice looking 2000 base model, its dark blue with saddle interior and looks well kept they have no service records on the car and the guages are white like in a S model..do some of the base model cars have these guages or should i walk away? i thought all the base model cars had black guages?

Could be an option or the gauge could be swapped.

I saw a 98 with red interior and white gauges, I read at 986faq. red interior is an upgrade option.

the car im looking at i believe has the P85 sport touring package it has the silver/white guages "S" type exhaust a rounded leather shifter and aluminum accents. im waiting on the dealership to produce some service records. its a 99 with 63,000 miles so im worried about the clutch-the bite point of the pedal seems a bit high-is there a big difference in power between the 2.5 and 2.7 engines? ive only driven the 2.5 so far

2.5 and 2.7

The 2.7 has 16 more HP than the 2.5, I haven't driven the 2.5 so I cant compare the accelaration perfomance difference. Thats pretty low for a 99 if the price is right go for it.
