So much about concept Esprit going into production...

Lotus In Trouble, May Be Sold To China

I am still waiting for the day to have my 986 and a lotus in my garage. Maybe one day.

There's nothing wrong with the original Ferrari F355 killer... other than the fact that it's PITA to work in and totally scattered availability for parts from handful of different manufacturers.

Sure is a good looking car, I'd love to have one.

A good friend in the UK had one of these. He sold it after three years due to the maintenance cost just going to high, and parts getting hard to find.

He also complained a bit about build quality and compared it to an early TVR in this respect...

But I would love to have a Lotus as well :)

Lotus Just Turned A Joke Into A PR Disaster On Facebook

I wouldn't mind picking up an Evora S after a couple of years of depreciation just for the exclusivity. And it is a Toyota powerplant anyway (read: reliable).

It's a reliable motor, but it sounds like any other V6 which is boring and nowhere near as smooth compare to a Boxer 6. Great looking car and extremely precise steering.

I was at the Lotus factory recently, saw an Evora in black and it looked so much better IRL. In fact, it looked plain great. The engineering guys do some really interesting stuff.

But honestly, in the context of the stupid, overweight footballer's chariots they were planning on making, it will be no great loss. I'd rather see Lotus fold than produce those chinzty chariots.

I like what Lotus finally did with the Exige . Previously, it looked like a high top sneaker with a "gerbil on a pulley" for an engine .

I already do, I have a 2002 Boxster and a 2006 Lotus Elise, both are great cars IMO.:)
