What size Twist wheels fit best?
I've been looking around for a used set of Porsche 18" twist wheels and tires lately that I would like to put on my 03 S. But there are a slew of different sizes I've been running into. So now I'm sort of confused
What is the most optimal size 18" twist wheels and tires I should be looking for? I will be lowering the car with Eibach or H&R springs eventually. - Front and rear wheel widths? - Front and rear offsets? - Front and rear tire sizes? - What front and rear spacers needed (if necessary) to make the wheel/tire flush with the fender? Thanks for the replies. |
Will these work?
Front - 8Jx18 ET52 part# 993 362 136 01 Rear - 10Jx18 ET40 part# 993 362 140 03 Tire sizes are 225/40 in the front and 285/30 in the rear. |

8 X 18 - bringing the offset down to around +40 or so will likely give you the look that you are going for . 10 x 18 - bring the offset down to at least +45 to 40 will achieve the same . |
Thanks Johnny for the reply!
From your recommendation, the rear offset is ok. For the front, would a 10-12mm spacer need extended lugs? I was reading other threads and it seems like most people are running 265/35/18 in the rear. Is this a better combination with the front 225 wide tire? |

oem standard lug bolt length 28 mm's + the size (meaning thickness) of the spacer = the length of the lug bolt needed . As far as tires are concerned, in my opinion, 225 & 265 would make for a better balance . |
