Boxster top hole from frame (help!)

I have a 986 2004 Boxster and am getting tiny pressure holes on both sides of the top just behind the window. I can look inside the body and see that there is a mildly sharp piece of the frame that is about an inch away when up but must be pushing into it when the top is down. Is this just an age thing? It is bound to happen? Or does the top frame need to be adjusted so it sits right when down? I will attach a picture of the piece that is pressing into the top. Thank you in advance for your help.http://986forum.com/forums/uploads01...1332473640.jpg

Answer

In case anyone comes searching, I found the answer.

The "worn elastics" on the tension straps are reason for existing top's rear L/R wear
marks.
