Halfway done with the coolant tank replacement...
 
It's every bit as frustrating as everyone has said. I think I can make the reinstall easier than anything I've read though! I work for a metal fab house. I'm going to get steel tubing and more hose to extend the hoses 2"! That way installing the new tank will be a snap! The only hose that I'll leave as-is will be the oil fill tube! That one is easy anyway;) I'll take a photo of my handywork when I'm done!

Why not have your shop fab up a tank either from SS or aluminum, that would be a major improvement over the OEM part.......................

We're more of a wire/tube shop. I have thought about it in the past. But I also dont really want to use too many resources at work either, you know... I use our powder coat line a lot for personal stuff already:)
