Can I fit Enkei Racing RPF1 on 1997 Porsche Boxster

Hello,

I would be very interested in fitting 17" Enkei Racing RPF1 on my 1997 boxster.

Is it possible? I would like to run 245 up front and 285 in the back.

Is it possible? What width and offset should I ask for?

thank you so much in advance.

First of all, it doesn't appear that Enkei even offers this wheel in a Porsche fitment . Regardless, in my opinion 245/285 is not the optimal choice for street performance . Moreover, the width(s) necessary to accommodate tires of that size is uncharacteristic of most 17 inch wheel applications .

Yes I googled and couldn't find anything on these being fitted to boxster. However my question is why? I would also be ok running 235/275

I just want the lightest 17" rim possible!

With all due respect, you're going at this blindly . You really need to pause and approach this in a methodical manner. First off, most Porsches have a bolt pattern of 5 x 130 with a center bore specification of 71.6 mm . This fitment is considered proprietary by virtue of the fact that no other manufacturer has this specification. With that said, the field of available aftermarket wheels is greatly narrowed . Therefore, you need to research brands that specifically offer this application .

I would only add that when I was interested in performance wheels I found the selection in 17" to be slim when contrasted with 18".

I have looked into this in the past. I believe Enkei makes RPF1 rims for the BMW's, which use 5x120 bolt pattern. The only type of adapter available for Porsche's just happen to be 5x130 to 5x120.

With the BMW Bolt Pattern Adapter installed on your car, the RPF1's would fit, but that would create other problems.

1. The adapter also acts as a large spacer. The wheels might stick out of the body a bit.
2. They do not make the wheel in the same width for rear wheels. I think the widest they make them is 8.5-9 inch. Rear should be 9.5-10 inch. So handling will be compromised.

Enkei does make other light weight wheels for the Boxster. The NT03+M. It is stronger than the RPF1 and more durable so it is a bit heavier, but still one of the lightest wheels you can get for the Boxster using the Porsche 5x130 bolt pattern.
