Trim removal of convertible top body panel

I am not sure of the name of the panel, but it is the panel that raises up when you put the top down and the top tucks under it.

I am painting my car and stripping the car down. So far, so good. But, I got stuck on this piece. I can't seem to get the black, metal trim piece off of the panel. There are two scres underneath and I removed those..... but, it just won't budge.

Any help....... ?

Start at one end and pull foward (towards the front if it were installed on the car). You will have to use some force because it's stuck on with butyl. Once you get one side pulled off a little, work on the other side. If it doesn't pull off... pull harder.
