anyone need info on new rear plastic window in LA?
Anyone looking to change there rear plastic window in there box?
I just changed it in my 2000 box. it was all beat up and cracking and someone slit it! so i thought it was time. I took it to this place in Redondo Beach, CA called "Trim Line European Upholstery" 310-540-0088, ask for Noel or Manual. great people and did an superb job. they even offered different types of windows and shade. i got the smoked window, they said it was less prone to scratches. it was all for $385.00 out the door. what a difference it makes, i can actually see the rear view. they specialize in porsches, bmws, and etc... i saw bunch of them there, and most of them had dealer tags, so dealer use them. |
So they just swapped out the plastic rear window for a new plastic rear window?
Could you have gone glass? KRZ |

gone to glass? no, you have to change the entire top. mine is 2000 model so i didnt bother. it should last me another 2~3 years easy. then i go 987!! maybe 997. :D  |
Did they have tinted plastic as a choice? Just wondering if that's available when I need to get mine done.
Thanks! |

they offered 4 choices: smoked (goes well with my car, 3x black with blacked out tail and side lights, sittin on 19inch wheels :D ) no choice on the shades though, only one shade. all clear (standard) all clear with hint of blue (it just amplifies all the scratches and nicks) all clear with hint of green (didnt even bother looking at it, gimme a break!) |
