what's in your frunk/toolkit?
got to get out for a drive today - hrrmph. i kind of like the warmer weather in december. anyway, i cleaned out the frunk and repacked the toolkit.
this got me to wondering what everyone else keeps as far as tools and emergency stuff in your boxster. for me: toolkit with standard porsche tools plus 3/8" drive socket wrench, socket extension, a set of torx sockets and allen head sockets, 8 zip-ties. http://986forum.com/forums/uploads01...1324596014.jpg then i put the toolkit in the spare tire pocket along with the oil filter removal socket and extra serpentine belt. i keep a fire extinguisher and the durametric cable behind the spare tire. http://986forum.com/forums/uploads01...1324596057.jpg when i'm heading out on a trip i also put an extra thing of oil in there. |
pretty much just the stock tools and an extra belt.....reminds me, I should probably put the big socket in there too so I can actually release the tensioner...haha oops

I have some miscellaneous hand tools in addition to the factory tool kit. I also have the spare belt and a 24mm wrench to replace it. Jumper cables, tire repair plugs and tools, foot pump and a gallon of distilled water that fits perfectly on the ledge next to the spare.
|
I usually have a socket set and big breaker bar plus some oil, coolant and water.
|
First Aid Kit
I also keep a first aid kit in the frunk... Just behind the spare tire next to the stereo amplifier.
