New Image Posting Tool...

Hi all. I have just installed a new image posting tool that should be much easier to use than the one that was on here previously. It's the same one that we use over on Pelican - it works very well, is very easy, and very quick to use.

Just click below, under "Attach a Photo". It should be self-explanatory. Let me know if there are any issues, and feel free to use this thread to test uploading of photos!

Thx,

Wayne

I'm just sure this is a dumb question, but I don't see anything about any new "image posting tool", nor anyplace to click "Attach a Photo"...what am I missing??

Okay, now (as I post this) I see the "Attach a Photo", but aren't we still in the same boat as before? IE, we still need to resize it before we attach it if we don't want it to be, say, 'interplanetary' in size (heh heh). And the photo I used is labeled as an attachment (unlike those "test photos" above), so I think I'm still doing something different from everyone else...

This is my dog Jake, BTW...(he's a good boy).

Did you click on what I boxed in red?

And did you read what I boxed in blue? It says they'll resize it for you.

It also reads that the valid file extensions for this are .gif and .jpg (or .jpeg)

EDIT: It would help if I also displayed the functionality of the tool by attaching the image I'm referring to, wouldn't it? Unfortunately it does not seem to be present when one is editing their post, so you have to use it on your initial posting...unless there's a way Wayne can incorporate that into edits as well. Anyways, see below:

Got it...thanks. So I guess, using this, we have no input as to pic size? It makes the decision for me?

It does - you used the "old" one that doesn't do that.

Wayne 962 12-05-2011 11:40 PM

Okay, let me make this super clear, since it's obvious a lot of you are used to the "old" way of posting pictures...

-Wayne

Wayne 962 12-05-2011 11:58 PM

Okay, I made the new one more obvious, and the old one not as obvious...

-Wayne

Wayne 962 12-06-2011 12:00 AM

I cleared out the super-huge images that were posted under the "old" method...

WOW! Thanks Wayne, now I can post a few things I have been meaning to. Maybe we will even be able to 'see' the real Johnny Danger in the near future.

Chuck W.

Looking at your signature I see you picked up a new 5-Series. Congratulations, great sedan!

I also see a 993 Turbo sold. Was that the beautiful AS car that you've posted pics of previously?

Looks like your previous white 993 Cab was a great looking car too!

just a note, i don't know if wayne realizes...

1. the "new" image upload only accepts jpg and gif files, but not png.

2. the "new" image upload only shows when you're using the 986 vBulletin 3 Style site layout.
