Question noise????

My 2006 Boxster, 30k mi, had a loud pop in the rear about a month ago. I thought it was a blowout or I had run over something. Last week there was a loud crunch and I felt the bump from the rear end. The 5 sp trans shifts fine and 600 miles since with no problems. I am very concerned since I'm 350 miles from the nearest dealer. I have look hard at the rear suspension and see nothing obvious.

Please, If anyone has any ideas.

Thanks in advance

Take a look at your CV joints and boots. 30K mi isn't much for a CV joint to fail unless your boot ripped and dirt/debris got it. Happened to me at 45k mi.
