First Snowfall

We had our first "dusting" of snow last night up here in western Massachusetts . The weekend forecast is calling for a significant accumulation on Saturday . So ends another driving season for the Dangermobile. :( On a positive note, it's almost time to start up the Johnny Danger Winter Workout series again ! :)

Was not happy about that last night, Johnny. I was planning on taking a cruise last night, not like it hasn't been out in heavy rain before, but on my way back home from Longmeadow, the closer I got to home in CT the bigger the "raindrops" were getting in front of my headlights...when I cam home the car was covered all on top. It just couldn't wait until I got my car cover and gave the car a good rinse.

If it snows again tomorrow I'm moving to New Mexico.

I'm hoping the snow blows over on sat and/or melts by 7AM Sun. I have an autox at Devins AFB in Ayer.

Nice, that's only 2 hours away from me! How often do they do them there? I'd be up for driving to that when the car's in fighting shape. :D

You guys keep your snow down there!

I too am complaining about the weather. Last week was the first week of top down weather here, temps in 60s to 70s. This week, the temp is back up to the middle 80s and its AC weather again.

Ok, I'm rubbing it in.

81F and sunny here in LA-LA land. Go south young man, go south.

Johnny Danger 10-28-2011 05:42 PM

The storm has been upgraded to a Nor'easter with 12 to 15 inches of snow where I am .
:(

Johnny, I think there must be some miscommunication...you're not giving me good news, friend.

I changed the oil and put the Box S to sleep this past week. Weather in northern Illinois still continues to be nice, but I hadn't driven the car for the past month (too busy), so I bit the bullet and just decided it was time. Rest peacefully and think of next spring!

They cancelled tomorrow's event, which was the last one of the season.
Events are on MotorsportReg.com : Online registration management tools for driving and social events at venue 'Devens Airfield'

My guess is the fall AX is out of the question tomorrow. The only thing working in favor of the event is the temperature is 35.

Looks like a good weekend to stay inside and catch up on some reading .

all of the leaves are still on the trees around my place and the whole block is covered in snow. big clumpy, sticky, slushy snow. And of course the snow tires aren't on the Boxster yet (usually wait until Turkey day). Looks like I'll be taking the mountain bike to run my errands or rent a front wheel driver. Reason #432 why winter sucks

Jager 10-29-2011 03:23 PM

I started out this morning riding my bicycle (trying to keep my 6’ 2” 230 pound beer drinking girlish figure) in 70 degree weather. Later in the day I took a drive to Pismo Beach and Avila Beach and saw many girls wearing bikinis (eat your heart out JD), both locations were 84 degrees and the high today was 89. I think the best time of year on the left coast is September thru December. I’m still driving the Boxster with the top down!

ChrisZang 10-29-2011 04:12 PM

Same here, actually temperatures are down to a chilly 70 degrees

At a balmy 26, 7" of snow now and haven't had power since 1:31 PM. Pulled out the Generator and Have been on Back up power going on 6 hours.
