Brake pad wear in track conditons

Am going to track my Box for the first time soon Just a Fun Day thing (a 2 mile course) at a local track, but I was curious about my brake pad condition. They're not bad, but I was curious about how much wear occurs in a day at the track. I Know this would vary depending on the driver, the track, etc., but has anyone taken notice as to how much pad wear (in, say, millimeters, front and back) typically occurs over the course of a day at the track?

I'm no engineer, but unless you are driving the car at 10/10ths you will see no significant pad ware, my guess would be 3-4mm at most. New pads, rotors, and fresh brake fluid are all a cheap investment to help ensure a safe, fun and worry free time at the track :-)

Hey Frodo, I'd guess with new OEM brakes, the pads would last somewhere between 15 and 25 track driving hours, depending on may variables. I know that's a huge range, but hopefully it'll give you some idea of what to expect.

I usually go through one set of pads in around 4 track days if that helps
