Electrical issues, pink cover relay
 

98 boxster, strange electrical ticking, intermittent radio, cruise, on off, all fuses are good. Noticed the relay on second row which has pink writing in people photos is missing the cover.

I will start by replacing this. What is it for? Any other ideas on repair?

sounds more like typical ignition switch going bad...

Part can be obtained at local Audi dealer for $35-50 or online at auto haus az[dot]com (eliminate spaces) for ~ $10 and of course I'm sure at Wayne's Pelican Parts (not sure of price).

The pink relay? What does it do, is it a general all purpose piece?
