UOA For 2006 987S Trans/Gear Oil

1 Attachment(s)
Here is the UOA for my recent 6-speed trans/gear oil change. Refilled with factory OEM oil (approx. 3 liters).

Almost 45,000 miles.
6 driving seasons.
Done early per Porsche's guidelines.

I am glad I did it early. My indy said the fluid looked and smelled just fine, but always good to do proactively early. The report looks very good, as expected. Shifts are the same, no different after the gear oil change, also as expected.

One thing I can tell, comparing to the UOA from my 993 Turbo, with similar mileage, that the Boxster's OEM gear oil is significantly different than the Mobil Delvac 75W90 used in the Turbo.

I'll probably change it again in another 6-7 years.

The oil was about $24/litre (Sunset). And the labor charges were just about 1 shop hour ($115/hour). She was also in for an oil change, brake fluid flush, new cabin filter and engine filter.
