Kudos to my Porsche dealer

Earlier in the week, I scheduled an appointment to bring my new, to me, (2.5 months) 2002 Boxster S in for its 15,000 maintenance. I purchased the car with 13,200 miles from Don Rosen Porsche in suburban Philadelphia. When I arrived at the dealership, I was pleasantly surprised to learn that prior to my purchase, the dealer performed not only the 15,000 maintenance, but also changed my brake fluid. I guess they saved me over $600. I just want to tell everyone on here how much I appreciate that! It is good to hear nice things about dealers, as sometimes they get a bad reputation. Kudos to Don Rosen Porsche!

I bought a BMW from Don Rosen BMW when I lived in Philadelphia and felt that they 'did me right'. I'm curious, do they put the blue and silver checked shield decal on Porsches like they do on the BMWs, and if so, where do they attach it?

No, they do not put the blue and silver stickers on the Porsches. They did put a license plate frame, which I promptly removed. When you bought the BMW from Don Rosen, who was your salesman, as I have many friends who work there? Also, Don Rosen sold the BMW dealership, its now called BMW of the Main Line.

I'm sorry, but I'm one of those people who has the name retention span of a rubber band...and that purchase was back in 1997 (an e36 convertible).

Thanks for the update on the Philly scene, still one of my favorite cities in the USA that has gotten a bad rap over the years. Interestingly, I did read an article awhile back that ranked Philly's drivers as the 'meanest' in the country, which I'm sure you won't have trouble believing.

But now that I think about it, 76 late at night would be a pretty cool road to drive the Boxster at high speed.

You are right, Philly is getting VERY bad. I live in Southern New Jersey, just across the bridge from Philly, and its getting bad here as well. High taxes, constant corruption, etc etc etc. As for Rt 76, its cool, but anymore constantly crowded. A much better route is West River Drive. Its not quite as high speed, nor as long, but nicely flowing and a great view.
