Northern California emissions question

I have the EVO intake on my car (not CARB approved) and need emissions for the first time up here. I had a "sympathetic" shop in SoCal that never felt the need to do a visual inspection. I'm now looking for a similarly "sympathetic" shop in the San Francisco Bay Area.
Does anyone have any suggestions?
Feel free to IM me if you would prefer

TIA,
Graeme

I can't imagine that anyone would knowingly put their license on the line but good luck.

My last smog was at Fair Oaks Smog in Sunnyvale. They didn't bother to open the engine cover for the test.

Never once has anyone bothered to lift the engine cover off with 2 Boxsters... They just look underneath the car to see if anything obvious is there...

I'm not in California, but likewise here. They look in the trunk, then they look in the fronk then they look confused and ask me if it's a mid-engine car then send me on my way. Too much effort to look in the engine compartment.
