Clean plastic window on top
What do you use for the plastic wndow on your top? I have used meguiars plastix and it has been ok. I still need to get rid of more haze.

I use Plexus for routine cleaning . It's ok . But, if I want to really clean up the rear window, then I use something like Turtle Wax's premium grade polishing compound, followed by a high quality wax . I would try following up the Meguiar's with whatever wax you use on the body of your vehicle .

I used the PlasticX and it worked well at getting the brown film but not so well on the horizontal haze line where the top folds on itself and against the radio speaker enclosure. So I bought a package of Novus with 3 different bottles of increasing abrasiveness. It didn't work any better than the PlasticX. I bought a very small orbital buffer and worked it very vigorously with the various plastic cleaners. It wouldn't remove the haze line either.
I've been wanting to try something even stronger, like polishing compound but I chickened out for fear I'd make a mess I couldn't recover from. So I'm interested in hearing more about the automotive polish on the rear window. I'm thinking rubbing compound followed by polish. |
