Ruf Autocentre

Since my '01 Boxster decided to wait until a month after my factory warranty expired to have a rear wheel bearing go bad, drivers door window regulator go bad, and need new brakes......And the local dealership couldn't fit me in until next week....I was fortunate enough to have a friend recommend RUF Autocenter here in the DFW area. Not only are they the only US location for RUF, but they are the absolute nicest group of guys I have run into. They got me right in, gave me a loaner car, a couple of strong cups of coffee and the full tour of their facilities. And the estimate came in 25% less than the dealership on the repairs. Hans and his staff are Porsche trained and have all of the diagnostic equipment and tools that the dealership has.

If my warranty had still been in effect I would have gone to the dealership, but RUF is a nice alternative with fair pricing and great customer service.

If any of you are in the DFW area, you should drop by and say Hi to Hans and Wayne at RUF.

good move.
What's their hourly rate?
I called them not so long ago about some harness belts for my GT3 seats and they were very helpful.
My local Porsche tuner charges $90 per hour and the Ray Catena Porsche delaer charges like a mere $10 more(way way better amenities).
wish I had a RUF shop near me, but Dallas is TOO HOT form me.

Porsche should just have hired RUF to design the 987 Boxster from the get go.
(I think I'm going to add this quilted leather behind the seats....nice.

I never asked their hourly rate, I was just going off of what their estimate was vs. the dealerships estimate.

It is hot here..... :p
