987 Serpetine Belt

Lastly (see my questions about the coolant and gear oil early service), what about doing the serpentine belt early??

5.5 years. About 45,000 miles before I put away (in October) for winter hibernation.

Should I do early? Or wait till 60,000 miles?

Thanks!:)

Do it. Considering the potential for damage if it fails, not to mention stranding you somewhere usually less than ideal, it is cheap insurance.

And when you replace it...

... keep the old one as a spare in your car, together with a 244 mm wrench or socket.
That way if the other one breaks, you're not left stranded in the middle of nowhere.
They do tend to last way over their 60,000 mile suggested replacement though.
Happy Boxstering,
Pedro
