***Deep scratch removal***
As many of you know, I am a master detailer (amongst other things) and I own a detail shop. My business partner's Cadillac Escalade was keyed really bad on the driver's door. He thought he would need to have the door repainted but I assured him I could fix it in 20 minutes.
Here is the before damage: |
Here is the results after 20 minutes of work and 5 easy steps. :)
If you want to learn how to do this easily as well as touch up the right way, wet sanding and full blown detailing with tricks and shortcuts then please see this thread: http://986forum.com/forums/boxster-general-discussions/2880-detailing-day.html |
Master indeed!!! Wish you were closer to where I live... alot of detailers around my town give fake promises. |
Very nice work indeed!

Wish you could help me...
I'm 3000 miles away. I checked your other tread but of course "how" you get rid of scratches is your secret. Look at this... while you can only see it in certain light, I know it's there. I apparently got something in my MF cloth and didn't notice the problem until later.
Please help! The guys on Autopia say it can only be fixed by repainting. :( |
If it is only visible under certain light you do not need repainting. It is micro-marring in the clear coat. I wish you were close by I'd have it like new in 15 minutes. :(
I don't want to give you the steps cause if you are not well trained you will do more damage than good trying to fix it. It's a shame guys from here aren't signing up to my detailing day to learn everything and have a good time. I already have 4 cars locally committed. Let's get 6 more and we'll have a good time and some nice video's. :) |
Whew!
After about an hour of gently applying Meguiar's Scratch X with my PC and orange pad (tried green first with little success), it looks a lot better. I also gave it a coat of AIO and SG, followed a few hours later with some P21S.
