CD Storage Tray/ Cup Holder
 

I have an 02 Boxster S. I would definitely like to be rid of the CD storage tray, and possibly the cup holder as well to be replaced with plain storage bins - if possible.

Can both be replaced? Is there a specific part number I'm after? I saw the bin on Pelican but I don't know which accessory I'm losing to get it.

I don’t know that you can put a storage shelf at the top where the cupholders are mounted. Although, any of the 4 pieces in the center can be moved to any of the locations, different years had the AC unit in different spots. The AC unit on my mom’s 03 C2 is above the stereo.

Yeah, I'd like to move that A/C head unit up like an 03 but the bezel is not perfectly rectangular like the other pieces - it has a generous radius at the bottom and to my eye it is tapered, wider at the top than the bottom. So that stays put. I guess I'm only going to be able to lose the CD holder.

You could move the AC control to top (there is a bezel) and delete the center section altogether, a la GT3.

With no glovebox until the 03, I'm lacking enough cabin storage as it is! I'm just sick of having my phone rolling all around the place and wondering who is going to sit on my Ray-Bans.
