Trans repair cornered by maker?

My indie mechanic can't get all the transmission parts he needs from P------, here or in Europe. He thinks they are trying to keep that work for themselves by making repairs on newer models by indies impossible. Anybody agree?

If you can source these parts that would be the best outcome.

+1 on that. Don't waste your time with the factory.

Thanks, but California Motorsports or Gbox didn't have the parts either. Now looking for used parts.

I still wonder if Porsche wants to keep this work for themselves.

I don't know the answer to your question but why not order the parts from Porsche yourself and take them to your mechanic?
