Oil Drip. Can you pinpoint the cause?

Hello.
My Box started dripping oil.
I live in a condo and don't have an easy way to lift the car. I'll get it checked but since I'm worried I placed a digital camera under the car and captured some pics.
It seems I managed to get photos of the area that is dripping, The problem is that I don't have a clue of what the pics show.
Car is a 97 986 2.5 with aprox 46,600 miles on the clock.
The oil drip is on the passenger side of the car. It's located just before the rear suspension.
I found this post that seems to describe the same or a very similar problem.

At least it does not look like IMS failure.
Any guesses?
Txs.

John

Do you see any oil around the spark plugs?

This photo is not from my car but it does show what I believe to the the dripping location. Passenger side, just before the rear suspension:

I'll remove the wheel tomorrow and take a look at the spark plugs. Thank for the pointer. This is definitely a possibility:

Spark plug tube leak
or
Cam cover leak

Inspected the car underneath and it's not the spark plugs or the cam cover.
Oils seems to come from a top tube.
The likely candidate is now the oil fill tube. It can be cracked and leaking.
The following photos are not from my car.

Soon I will get the top into service mode and inspect the tube on my car, but I'm pretty sure that it's nothing serious and that it's cheap to repair.

Good Luck

Think on the bright side, look at all the information you are learning in the process.

I had a very similar oil leak myself and of course the IMS thought was running through my brain, but went out with some electronic parts cleaner and sprayed the area(s) clean, layed down some clean carboard on the garage floor and took the car for a spin, then parked in the garage and waited.

Next morning I could trace back where the oil was coming from, which were two spark plug tubes on the passenger side. Replaced all of them and have had no oil leaks since.

Again I hope for the best and cheapest fix for you.

Look at the bottom of the AOS. That is what it looks like to me. Oil fill tube is a possibility. But if you have oil mist and oil on the top of motor passanger side, it's the AOS.

Solved

Just a quick note to write that it's solved. It was the oil fill tube. It cracked on the flex bend, close to the firewall, due to it's age and, of course, to normal engine vibration.
Tube as been changed. Engine bay was cleaned. Will keep an eye on the AOS.
