Replaced clutch. Now there is transmission oil leaking

I replaced the clutch at the weekend. Everything seems to be smooth until I noticed there was some gear oil lying under the car. I inspected it again tonight and noticed there is gear oil coming from where the transmission and crankcase connects. There should not be oil from here.

I replaced main shaft seal on the transmission, which I presume is the issue. Why would this be? I installed as the 101 book said and it looked secure/like before.

Thoughts?

Why did you replace the seal?

Did you overfill the tranny?

Because it is in the clutch replace kit from Pelican Parts.

No.

I got extra swepco and a new main seal today, so I'll try replace tomorrow.

I don't know which car you have, but some are not filled to the top of the filler plug.

Yeah; my model goes right to the top (Boxster S 2001).
