RaggTop at 1+ Year - Like New

While cleaning the Box up today for other photos, I took these showing the results of my RaggTop application that was done last spring. In the interest of full disclosure, my car sleeps in a garage at night and stays inside all winter. However, it sees a fair amount of summer sun while parked in the lot at work...

I've seen several photos of the dry results, but here is what it looks like while wet.

I applied the Raggtopp straight away, does this not happen with untreated tops?

I've just recently RaggTopp'd too. It was raining the other day and the top was beading like crazy. Plus I had just waxed my car so it was really one entire beaded car. Wish I took a pic. I looked kinda cool.

When first out of the dealer my top would bead like this. After a year or two it didn't. The surface got to looking more like a wet black rag than beading up, esp. where the top folds (just behind the window on each side, for instance). Note I was making the mistake of washing the top before (soap with cloth & rubbing), now I just rinse it.

This was my first and only application of RaggTopp so far, I put it on after using their top cleaner as prep. I had a chance to speak with a VP from Haartz at a local PCA event (Haartz makes the canvas for Porsche and RaggTopp; they have a plant in the next town over from me, where he worked) and came away impressed with their products (and with some free samples in hand ). If I remember it correctly, RaggTopp protectant is the exact same finish applied to the factory top fabric.

I've washed my car twice and both times the top has beaded like that. But, I'm going to order Raggtop soon...
