Help: DME ??
Hey All,
Car is running great after having replaced the AOS a few weeks back. No more indication of low oil pressure when at low RPM's (stop lights etc...)...but now, I'm getting a CEL with a DTC of P0107 (DME) - Digital Motor Electronics (DME).
Has anyone had to replace one in a 2000 Boxster? How much, where (website) approx cost etc?
I also keep getting the same repeating codes (related to the O2 Sensors both sets of banks) - P1126, P1133, P 1128 and P1130...any recommendations? Replace all 4 O2 Sensors?

If you did not replace you AOS right away, the oil in your exhaust system may have damaged your O2 sensors. I did replace all of my O2 sensors to correct the same alarm codes.

On it. I'll look at replacing all 4 sensors...should that correct the P0107 (DME) error as well?

Oil in intake seems to foul #2 sparkplug, check middle cylinder passenger side.

Isn't a P0107 code for a problem (low signal input) from the barometric pressure sensor?

DME code
P0107 Short circuit to ground – DME control module
But the theory I'd go on is you were mucking round in the engine compartment changing the AOS and you bumped some wire. I'd start by snugging up everything you could find. Then clear codes and see. ECUs are expensive...snugging up only if the object isn't your wife.

Oh... I was just addressing the P1126, P1133, P 1128 and P1130 alarms when I replaced my O2 sensors. I did not have the P0107 alarm.
Yes, P0107 is an ambient pressure sensor alarm.

I'd really be looking at why you are getting the ambient pressure sensor code.
And in several decades of working on these cars, I am yet to see one lose all four O2 sensors at the same time…………..

Focus on the P0107 alarm code first, that might be causing all of your alarms (could be a lean mixture issue). Clear the codes. If just the P1126, P1133, P 1128 and P1130 alarms come back, look at the O2 sensors before the catalytic converters first, that would be my guess. I'm thinking you have a vacuum leak or preasure sensor disconnect somewhere.
In my case I went way too long before replacing my AOS. Since my car had over 210,000 miles on it (and I was under the car doing other work anyway) I decided to replace all four O2 sensors. I could have spent more time troubleshooting, it was probably the two sensors before the catalytic converters, but with that many miles on them it was a preventative maintenance decision.
