How to know which sensor is faulty in alarm system?

Hello

When I lock the car with the remote key, I got a small beep from the horn, meening something is not close correctly. But every thing is well close. So I guess I have a sensor trouble. Is there a way to know which sensor is faulty or not sending signal to the alarm system? A code I can read somewhere or do I need to have the car connected to a cumputer to find out where is the trouble.

I would like to correct that small problem.

thanks

Your DME records the last 10 alarm faults in memory; but you need a PIWIS/PSTII/Durametric system to read them..........

The CLU monitors...

.... the doors
the front trunk
the rear trunk
the oddsment compartment and
the glove compartment (if pertinent).
Most people overlook the oddsment compartment.
Using a PST-II or a PIWIS you can manually activate each one.
But if you don't have access to the System Testers you can get in the car and close the doors.
If the interior lights go out after a few seconds the door microswitches are fine.
To test the trunks, open the lid.
Manually close the latch with a screwdriver and see if the trunk light goes out.
You can do the same with the glove box if you have one.
The only compartment without a light is the oddsment.

Hello

Thanks ppbon for the tips. I've check:
the door, ok
The rear trunk, ok
the front trunk Light not always coming on but most of the time. ok
then check the ood compartment (between both seat for rdougan) and voila!
The odd compartment hinge have been change and it does not close correctly. When I manualy push down the little switch, the alarm set on ok. So I modifie it a little bit for now so the alarm is ok.

So now I need to find a picture for the hinge of the odd compartment so I can repair it as original.

Thanks
for the tip on how to find it out.

Porsche offers a kit to repair the lid's hinge.
Contact your dealer and they can help you.
You won't have to spend a lot.

The oddsment compartment is the cubby between the seats, just behind the handbrake lever which can also be used as an armrest.
