One remote fails

I have 2 remotes for 2003 Boxster and ONE of them stopped working. Will unlock and start car, but remotes' buttons fail, I replaced the battery because it seemed it was weak, the light would dim or not come on when remote button pressed. New battery made a strong light on the remote but otherwise no difference. Other remote works normally. Any ideas?

Thanks

Alan

I don't know the answer but I've got the same situation. I read some threads and one guy says you can resynchronize them with a magic incantation and special sequence of door lock and engine switch at the same time but it didn't work for me or any of the other people in the thread. Personally I think it's a busted remote. On mine the working on flashes differently than the non-working one. Getting a whole new key/remote is expensive as I understand it.
