Bumper Plugs

The bumper plugs I have seem pretty loose to me. They remove quite easily. Are they suppose to be that loose or perhaps I need new ones? I put a little telfon pipe tape on them for a tighter fit for now.

They do tend to be loose. Perhaps a touch of a mild glue.
