Air bag disconnection

Hi, I've got a indicator stalk that doesn't cancel and it's starting to tick me off. I managed to download a useful pdf from D2 performance's web site that gives step by step instructions on how to remove the steering wheel so that I can investigate the problem.
Does anyone know how long I should leave the battery disconnected before is start messing with the connector on the air steering air bag?
Thanks
Dave.

You can remove it immediately with no danger to yourself. I believe the reason for leaving it a few minutes is to avoid having the airbag light come on when you reconnect.
