Apparently sensing something was missing at the top end of the growing Panamera line, Porsche today revealed details of the new top-trim 2012 Panamera Turbo S that will be at dealers this spring and go for a mere $174,175 with shipping.
Porsche will show the new flagship at the New York Auto Show in April. It gave the line a new entry-level model and a V-6 this year and has a hybrid Panamera on the way as well.
Sliding in above the mere Panamera Turbo, the Turbo S adds more features, as well as refined twin-turbos and engine tweaks that pump 50 more horses (now 550 hp.) out of the 4.8-liter V-8 powertrain. Torque is a brutish 553 lbs.ft. (up 37) and Porsche says the package is good for 0-60 in 3.6 seconds and 190 mph on the top end.
