"New" Rear Bumper - Boxster 2012?
 
Slightly confused... I see a lot of new "2011" Boxsters with the traditional bumberettes on the back (painted the body color) and then I see this new bumper at the porsche site:

is this new bumper only on the 2012 models?

US cars have bumperetts; what you see on the website is the configuration everyone else gets. There was a thread about this a few days ago if you want all the details.

As per the DOT and NHSB, US vehicles are required to be equipped with bumperettes, while European models are not .
