Museum Visit

I was in Stuttgart last week on business and got an afternoon of free time to spend at the Porsche Museum. Very cool place. Highlights were the Boxster prototype unveiled at the 1993 Detroit Car Show. The car is just as sexy today as it was almost 20 years ago! Also on the highlight list is Porsche #1, the very first car to come of the assembly line, and seeing five 917's in a row. (photos attached) )Missing was the 550 Spyder. I ask about the car, and was told they only have two of them, and one is at a historic race, and the other is in the shop after being damaged at a historic race!
A must see for Porsche fans if you are ever in Germany
I also walked across the street to the Factory showroom, where they had among the new cars a used Carrera GT for $400,000 US.

That's what I love about Porsche. They build all their cars to be driven, and they're not afraid to drive all of them, even their historic trophy cars!
