Convertible lite is constantly on???

Hello everyone. My convertible lite on the dash stays on, but the top operates without any problems, goes up and down really smooth, any ideas what my cause that lite to stay on?

I find my lite goes out about 3 seconds after everything seems to stop.

My 2001 non-s is the same. My light used to be on but then I started to hold the button until I couldn't hear the motor any more, takes about 3 seconds extra. Problems solved.
