Jump starting is easy - its getting the front trunk open that is the hard part!

Just curious, how do you lock a key in a Boxster?

I don't think he locked the key in - just left the key in the ignition...
I happend to do this over Christmas - left the key in by mistake and covered the car in the garage for 10 days - result was a flat battery when I pulled the cover off.
I think that a number of electrical circuits are energised with the key in situ, and over a few days it drains the battery.......

There is a panel to the right of the drivers foot well (Right Hand Drive here), that when clipped off, gives access to a battery cable. Put your positive jumper lead to it, and earth the negative to some chasis point. Now some power to open the front bonet, and get access to the battery points for starting.

I'm actually curious to know from the original poster if he means the key is locked in the car or if he only meant that the key was left in the ignition.

Just not sure how one could lock the key in the car. I know that the car locks back up after anywhere from a few seconds to a few minutes if you hit the lock/unlock button and don't do anything...but that's where I'm stumped, because doesn't that disengage once you open the door, even if you don't get in and simply close it again? :confused:

Lol, and I only wish mine had that positive in the fuse panel...too old for it, unfortunately.
