what happened to this cayman?

a porsche dealer selling a 07 cayman w. 16,500mi for $31 995 with basic 3000mi.powertrain warranty(certified is $2k)but look at this: lease car, bought at auction, dealer replaced horn, spoiler, driveshaft seal, front crankshaft oil seal, front brake pads and rotors-with that low miles what do you think happened to this car?? just a lemon? terribly abused?carfax shows no accidents.

Garage
My guess; Car was leased for three years, time was up and the dealer got the car back...dealer sent it to auction. Depending on where the car was originally leased (your in NY) the owner only drove it during nice weather (5,500 miles a year). The repairs sound the typical bumper to bumper fixes except for the front brakes and rotors.

Go back to the dealer and get the VIN #, then go into the service department and have them look up the repair history and see what is said about the front brakes, warranty item? Look at the front tires for excessive wear with 16K on the clock. If there is wear it was probably tracked, no big deal because it has new brakes and rotors!

Sounds

pretty routine to me. That they are willing to CPO it speaks to the fact that they did the CPO inspection and fixed the things that showed up. They used the new seals. Sounds to me like the car was in urban traffic which explains the brakes though 16k is awfully soon to need em. I'd expect at that mileage the tires are new too.
