High Pitch Sound

I replaced the drive belt with an aftermarket one. I notice that when I start it in the morning, I hear a high pitch sound. After a couple of minutes, the sound disappears. Has anyone encountered a similar scenario? Is it something else that needs to be replaced or should I go back and replace the belt with an EOM belt?

Was the old belt much looser? I recently put in a Contitech belt, the original belt was just fine but I had got the new one so put it in, man it was tight and I was concerned it would create some new sound but it didn't. I have to assume you installed it correctly so the only thing I could suggest would be to take the panel off again start the car and try to determine where the sound is coming from...if that fails take the belt back off and spin some of the pulleys.

Good luck hopefully something simple.

I did compare the belts before installing and the non-OEM appears about 1/4 inch shorter. Not much I thought and I didn't have to force it in during installation.
