not easy

I measured the OD(outer dia.) And got 4.520 inches (measuring horizontally)
the ID (inner dia ) was 4.000
but...
the bezels r not perfectly round.....elliptical
I couldn't measure the outer bezels
the pod cover gets in the way and so does the steering column
I was using my 6 inch digital verniers hoping they would fit
well they do...but the tips need to be thinner
I don't think a micrometer (4 to 5 ) would have the necessary room either
but back to the original issue I c...they r elliptical which means to get a proper
measurement ...it would be nice to get to whole cluster out
this doen't help u right now
try a paper cutout when u get a chance
if I had access to an instrument pod. .I could probe it on the machine @ work
but it would b so much easier if some1 had the drawing of the whole cluster (dwg/iges)
cheers
chris
