only when the sides & rear window are done and the top is up or when all are down Otherwise, best to leave tinted windows for coupes, sedans and SUVs IMNSHO

I love how mine look tinted, but i hope to upgrade the top so they are all the same tint. It def looks a little goofy without them all matching. Other idea was to get a tinted wind deflector for now since its only $100

Picked up some tint at Walmart last week. Planning on a DIY when it gets a little warmer.

The tinted windows look great if they match all around. I installed the GAHH Glass window top almost a year ago and then had all my windows tinted. I like the look.

Get them tinted. You will be happy you did on a hot sunny day when you have the top up and are using the A/C. My wife and I are fair skinned. We can't drive with the top down all the time. The extra tint on the door glass and across the top of the windshield realy helps when we can't take the desert sun anymore.

I have been considering doing tint as well. I just wonder how hard it is to tint the rear glass. I have enough problems just trying to clean it with the windstop in place. I would think that tinting it would be a rough job even if I remove the windstop.

Imho
Apparently I'm alone on this one, but I think tinted windows are a bit too ghetto for a Porsche.

Plastic rear window can be replaced with
Strataglass. You can get it with a very nice smoked tint. Much better looking than the green tint. I used this to replace my rear window and was very pleased with the result. Great folks to work with as well.
This is the stuff used in marine (yacht) applications.

You aren't alone. I like them on other vehicles but don't think they look good on a Porsche. Different strokes for different folks though.

it was the first thing I did. My last car was also a flashy roadster and I got tired of the red-light stare down by the passenger on my left or driver on my right.
If it's not limousine dark and instead 30% I think they call it, it's not ghetto/ricer looking in my opinion.

My issue is tinting a black car, I would definitely tint my windows if my car was silver or red but if the rest of my car is black, I think it might be overkill.
I would interested in a nice green tint, to give the tint a little bit of life.

Mine have a sort of metalozed color tint. Looks really good on the silver car IMO.

I prefer a light tint (like 70%) across all windows including windshield. Keeps everything uniform, UV and heat out. Technically not "legal" to put a film over the windshield that's less than 95% (at least in Cali) but 70 is hardly noticeable and hasn't been a problem for me (in other cars). I think it looks trashy to have different levels of tint.

I was thinking about tint, But then It might look odd driving around with the top down and the windows up.

Tint your windows, it really changes the look of your car.
I have 50% front and 20% side.

50% Front? That is illegal in Illinois I'm pretty sure

Nice to see a Black 986 with Black Tints (and even black wheels) but I also have a black interior! I'm thinking of doing a light tint, maybe a little green in it too.

No way in hell would I tint the windows of any car of mine.
Vital driver to driver communication is lost, not to mention driver to pedestrian.
I hope that doesn't need explaining.
