Really, really low Beams. Any ideas? Guys. I'm puzzled. Got in my Boxster this morning early and drove down the street thought I forget to turn my lights on. They were indeed on. Got out to take a look. it looked like two low-burning candles -- like they were 10% on. High beams are perfect. Had to drive to work using them Didn't sense any battery-related issues anywhere in performance. Any ideas? Much appreciated! |

Check your fuses first, if ok, then check the amperage going to the light socket. Very well could be the light switch. |

start checking the basics in the electrical system...batt voltage etc.... |

I'm guessing but.... failing all else there must be a relay that controls the high and low beams. That relay may be faulty, where it is located I do not know. Odd that is is both lights at once that are dim, I have seen cases where a car comes in with no brake lights. All sorts of checks are done when the first thing that should have been done is check the BULBS. I've seen many a car come in with both brake lights burned out. Use the KISS Principle " Keep It Simple Stupid" .... don't make it harder than it is. Good luck, J T |
