Track day report

Had a great 2 days at the Central Indiana Region PCA "Pumpkin Run" HPDE at Putnam Park yesterday and today. This was my second HPDE in this car, and I just can't get over how well it handles in completely stock-suspended form. My only upgrades for this event were new Porsche "Sport" brake pads, new Bridgestone Potenza RE11 tires and fresh OEM brake fluid. The car ran without any hiccups both days (seven 25-minute sessions in all).

Now in fairness, I have more experience on this track than did any of the other 10 guys that were in my run group, because I have done 2 other track days at Putnam Park in another car as well. But still, it's pretty satisfying to be able to get past a 2004 911 Turbo Cab, and to lap a 2004 John Cooper Works Mini Cooper S in 2 different sessions.

Days like today just make me want to never, ever sell this car.

Nice I love doing HPDE. At Hallett just outside Tulsa OK we only get 5 fifteen minute sessions. Man seven 25 minute sessions would be awesome.
