Newb question about codes

So picked up a '99 Boxster to eventually turn into a specB race car. On the drive home the CEL illuminated. Long drive home but the car ran fine so I've driven it sparingly until the Durametric tool came in the mail last night. Going to pull the codes. Is there a quick link that will tell me what the codes mean out here on the information superhighway?

No I didn't do a search....

Already envisioning every noise is a failed IMS....

Already signed up for JR's M96 rebuild class in January....

I can rebuild a 944 motor in my sleep but this newfangled stuff.....

Thanks
Brent

Usually the Durametric software is pretty good to give you information about each code :)
other case google and the forum search feature is always your friend :)

Just post the codes

here and someone with access to the books will help you with the possible causes. Or if you can't wait, search on the Pcodes (Pnnnn where nnnn is the numeric code). It's highly improbable you got one that hasn't been posted on the forum sometime before...and answered.
