Radio unit stuck on

Hi

I have a 987 (hope it is still OK to post here!!) and the radio gets stuck on. None of the buttons work and I can only turn it off when I remove the ignition key.

Removing the fuse for the radio re-sets it but this happens again normally the same day.

As you can imagine it is driving me a bit mad.

Any suggestions please?

Thanks

Emma

I think its just a crapy head unit. It happened to my CDR 220 several times.
I was driving with top down, music playing loud (on the highway), as I pullup to a trafic light - Lady Gaga comes up, i try to change the station and turn the volume down, but none of the buttons work. 2 girls in the vw jetta next to me gave me a really weired look... I can't blame them.
The only reason Im still keeping my stereo is its factory look and 10 buttons for favorit stations, otherwise it would have been in the trash long time ago.

radio unit stuck on

Hi Emma,

I have a 987 too (only got it 13 days ago) and I have had exactly the same problem. The radio is permanently on, I cannot change the volume or the radio station. It only turns off when I remove the ignition key and when I restart the engine it is exactly the same.

How did you solve the problem with yours?

Many thanks,

Suzie
